With less than two weeks to go, I’m back in Portland and will spend the rest of my time writing and riding and getting ready to be away for seven weeks. I snapped this shot of some kids up at the Griffith Observatory during my stay in Los Angeles. I told them I was going to ride my bike across America but they didn’t care. I tried to join them but the one on the end kept brushing my hands off his shoulders. Anyway, I snapped this shot and I thought it was cute.

I finished the book I recommended to you: History of Love by I Can’t Recall (wife of the man who wrote Everything is Illuminated) last night. It may have made it into my top 10 list.
And it deals with themes like: children growing up without dads, dads growing up without kids, lost love, writing. It’s right up your alley.
I’ll pay you a million bucks if you don’t love it.

don’t take it personally Don, he looks like he’d have done that to anyone taller than him.

I’m a dope. I didn’t post that correctly. I’ll try to get it right next time.
