Day three was a long, rolling ride that started with a great morning that gave us a quick 50 miles. We all stopped for lunch together in what was perhaps the only shade in the desert, a shed outside a gas station. And we had to stop for water at a guys place in the middle of the desert. The guy had llamas and we got to know them a little bit. We rolled into 29 palms fairly early and tonight will sleep on the floor of a church. Tomorrow we will do 110 miles through the desert with no places to stop for water and no shade. So we will be pedaling out around 5:30 or so. It will be a long day, but I am sure it will be good, too. Thanks again for everybody’s interest. We really hope all our blogs and stops and talks turn into attention being pointed toward Blood:Water Mission. So far the response as we talk to people has been great.
