Chriselda at Funfest

utterz-image
We did 100 miles today and then got to go to funfest here in Kingsport TN. Its a weeklong festival but we showed on food night. And so we celebrated Kingsport by rating nachos and funnell cake. Awesome. As usual the people in Tennessee continue to be warm and welcoming. I’ve loved our time here and it only makes me want to spend more time in TN. Its become a second home. Okay, we’ve got 112 miles tomorrow so I’m off to bed. Good night.

Awesome, Don:) Now if you’d just added in a fryed turkey leg and elephant ear you would have had the right concoction for a really bad case of heartburn and your team probably would have had mercy on you and let you ride in the van like one mile out of those 112 tomorrow. I know…very sound wisdom…but hours too late:P I’ll try to be more helpful next time..or at least keep my wisdom in a “lockbox” (Al Gore, LOL) Alright, sleep man, sleep!

    God bless!

You’ve gone so far! Congratulations for how far you’ve made it. Keep going, and keep posting the interesting pictures.

    Donating now.

Nothin’ like showin’ up late to the party! We live in Chattanooga, not to far from where you’ve been the past couple of days. Wish I had found out about the ride before now, but what a GREAT vehicle to draw attention to the need for clean water in Africa.

And, you’re forced into the best shape of your life (I’m guessing).

    Win-win, yes?

    :)

Can’t imagine the range of emotions yall are feeling. I’m clearly overspiritualizing the parallel here, but can’t help but think on Jesus’ ride into his last days. Even though so much must’ve seemed undone and yet to be understood, something of his being (the “being God” factor probably helped) seemed to know confidently that this leg of incarnate pedaling was done. I pray that spirit over your team…may you guys sense the incredible weight of a seen finish line and array of accomplishment, while also tending gently to that which sees unfinished finish lines and Accomplishments yet to come.
